COLONIE -- The Town Board on Thursday approved the construction of a 5 million-gallon well to bolster the town's water storage capacity.

The well will be the third at the Mohawk View Water Treatment Plant on Onderdonk Road. The town can store 3.5 million gallons of drinking water in its wells, said Jack Tabner, special counsel for the Latham Water District.
