Qld: Government probes chemical death link
The Queensland government is investigating links between a rogue batch of toxic weedkillerand the deaths of two forestry workers in the 1970s.
A spokesman for Queensland Primary Industries Minister HENRY PALASZCZUK says officialsare searching records about the use of the now-banned chemical 245-T at Beerwah stateforest, north of Brisbane.
The chemical contains cancer-causing dioxins at more than 200 times the acceptable levels.
